This is a short book (took 3 cups of coffee to read this morning). Despite that, there is a lot to chew on here. Bob's writing is direct and honest. Most authors of this genre attempt to be honest and give readers a clear picture of life without a permanent address, but I feel this book achieved that better than any other I have read. He is a working person with some savings, not old enough to retire, he has a daughter and grandkids he misses when he is traveling, he often has angst and misgivings (as we probably all do if we are honest about it), and he admits to being culturally conditioned to caring a lot about appearances and acceptance. His soul had been worrying away at the unsatisfying nature of working away life at a desk for a roof over his head, "stuff" and two days off a week, but his decision to ditch it was made in a moment of epiphany (with the help of a freestyle friend) and he did what most of us do not: he acted immediately. This book is kind of about how that worked out. There are some good lines of wisdom in here, and I will be thinking about this little book for far longer than it took me to read it.

I've been scared to quit my boring but well paying job and enjoy the freedom of the road. It was a fun quick read, and has helped me decide to finally begin moving forward.
This was a quick read, but very enjoyable. It's nice to hear someone's Adventures on the road. Makes me want to get in my rv and hit the road.
What a fun read. Bob Davidson seems like a mellow, wise soul at this point, and paints an interesting tale of his road to the road. I hope to meet him out there, somewhere, someday. Highly recommend.
Like I said I wish I got this when I was younger.
A down to earth and basic. A real pleasure to read. Really makes you think about what's holding you back from following your own dreams.

Finally! Someone FINALLY wrote the RVing book I have been seeking for the last two years! I didn't need yet another book that spends two pages on the 'why' and eighty pages on the 'how' of RV living. There are more than enough of those and I've bought and read several. Then there are the ones that attempt to write about the experience, but turn out to be nothing more than a sterile travel diary with no emotion - "First we went here, then we when there, then we did this." What I longed for was an entire book about the 'WHY', the 'lifestyle' and the 'experience' of full time RV living. What it's really like, what its challenges are, what its rewards are, and what is really gained by choosing to live your life as a mobile adventurer. At last I have found that book - and it's really well written too! Thank you Bob Davidson! Keep writing, and I will keep buying your books. And hopefully I will meet you on the road some day, once my own `mobile adventure' has begun.
